Okay, time for a new poll. Last time I wanted to make people think. This time you can be as shallow as you want to be! Please, feel free to post your own reasons for your choice after you answer this:

You are spending the winter in a mountain cabin, in bandit country, where you're sure to be snowed in for months at a time. You're scared, cold, and going nuts from boredom. One night, there's a knock on the door, and you open it to find one of The Boys standing on the other side.

Who do you most want to see standing there?

[Poll #500495]

Have fun, y'all....

Oh, it would so have to be Ezra. Pretty to look at, highly entertaining, and resourceful if need be. Couldn't ask for anything more...;)

Well, I'm assuming the only thing I'd have to lose in this cabin would be clothing. And, little things like that just aren't that important with him around. *grins*

Well I knew what you thinking, but I like the Gambler and the sharpshooter. My fondness wish is to locked, lost, whatever with those two. One to treat me like a princess and the other to treat me like I'm a....

I am amused at us. Actually, I'd have had to go for Vin, were it not for the smart-ass aside in the "Wagon Train" episode. Ezra makes a one-off about the Donner party, leading me to believe that he'd be able to survive in a cabin like that without too many problems.

Of course, he's a good shot and capable of handling bandits, and one must assume that the cabin is stocked for winter, because I wouldn't be that stupid.

He'd be the most amusing person (for me) of the bunch, and would leave me alone if I so desired. If I were to Mary-Sue myself (although I'd have a much better name than Mary Sue), he might even be interested. Still, one can talk far longer than one can boink, and so I don't think I'd have a problem. I'd also have a golden opportunity to learn how to play poker.

I mean, how do you narrow it down... Chris is lovely - and we know he can do the work around the place as well as the protection bit - but being honest, I would drive him totally insane in ten minutes flat, and he would SHOOT me. And he can't afford the guilt.

Buck is also lovely but I might have to kill HIM after two-and-a-half weeks of those corny lines...

Vin? Yes, yes, lovely, but we'd fight over the buckskin and the harmonica (I play worse than he does, but complain more) and who cooked (I have this feeling his cooking is strictly survival-standard). OTOH, I'd get to do most of the talking (I wonder how much babble is needed to drive him nuts?) and teaching him to read - love sonnets - might be fun...

JD is adorable and I have no doubt I could talk him into doing most if not all of the work round the place... but no, anyone who talks more than I do - and who tells worse jokes - it would not be pretty.

Josiah does indeed have a lovely voice (and lovely hands, I've noticed, despite all the work repairing his church) but one would have to make sure there's no drink around the place, and that might make him tetchy, and I don't want to deal with a tetchy Josiah (not because I'd be scared, because he'd probably go up and bang nails in the roof at all hours). And Biblical parables in the early morning tends to make me tetchy too...

Nathan... lovely but not much in common, methinks, and the moral rectitude might aggravate me (I'm certain it did Ezra at times, probably made the man behave worse - just because) But as long as he leaves the unlovely castor-oil and other winter remedies at home...

Ezra - ah my beloved Ezra - but I'd better make sure that damn cabin's fully repaired, heated, provisioned and all ready before we go because HE ain't gonna do any work round the place and I CAN'T :) Me and Ezra doing the wilderness thing comes under the heading of low comedy more than high romance, I'm afraid... OTOH, I do like a good bit of low comedy.

So after much dithering... 'tis Mt Standish. Poor dear, he doesn't deserve such a fate...

Oops...

Very difficult decision between Vin and Chris... Today, it's Vin. Ask me again tomorrow and it might be Chris.

Ok - I don't think I have to say who I picked, tlak - yeah we'd do that - when I let him out of bed - LOL. I like what you put next to JD - poor JD, Buck, and Nathan.

this was cool - thanks.

Vin would be my second choice if I had one. Buck I would kill after about 30 secs - so forget that, Exra I would only want to play regular poker with and first time he cheated I'd probably shoot him. JD - yep puppy - no thanks, as for Josiah and Nantha - can't think of a reason as to no on both of those at the moment.

Hmmm, so difficult. I said Chris, because I mean, honestly, if I were stuck in a cabin with him, I wouldn't need conversation. I'd just be staring, slack-jawed, the entire time, going "yes yes yes yes yes!" in my head. And "Haw haw! My friends will be sooooooo jealous." Then, on the practical side, there's the protection element and his wily man-prowess. If Josiah could fix up your cabin, why, Chris would probably just build a whole new one like fifty feet away. Bandits would show up and he'd be all "Grrrrr" and shoot them and we wouldn't have to worry about any more interruptions for the rest of the winter. ;)

My second choice would be Josiah. It would be the complete opposite; I think we'd spend the whole time talking. He's read more Shakespeare than I have and it's been way too long since I had a healthy discussion about Shakespeare. He's funny, too, he's just understated. Plus I think Josiah needs a cuddle, poor guy. He never gets ANY action. :(
