Getting Magnificent 7 on video/DVD
Jun. 18th, 2005 08:48 amAs was noted by a new member and in the following thread, there are a number of people in the M7 fandom who haven't actually seen episodes. Got some information for people on that. You can thank Judy for this. I swear she's read every M7 fic online, regarless of pairing, subject, or rating.
She says:
Hey,
there are lots of people who make the vids...not sure about doing it for foreign formats...here's the best info I can pass on to you.
This place had great vhs to make dvd's: http://www.geocities.com/brownschamps2003/
This lady, Cathy, is working off the new showtime - Great quality!
As you know, Magnificent 7 is now airing on Showtime Extreme with
un-cut digitally re-mastered commercial free episodes. Unfortunately,
many of our fellow fans aren't able to get Showtime Extreme, (Like me, says Bell Witch) but I know someone who is willing to burn copies of the episodes onto DVD's for anyone who wants them. Feel free to contact her at the following e-mail:
hope that helps you!

So, that's two places. I might end up contacting this second one myself, since my copies of the show are sometimes third generation and have commercials in them most of the time.
Most of the people who make tapes and such charge only for materials and shipping, so it's reasonable. If there are ever official DVDs available, most people won't make unofficial copies anymore. Anyway, hope this helps someone out there get a fix. Mag 7 crack!
