[identity profile] seremela2.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] mag7fans

I've been biking... for four long, glorious days. And although I didn't tire, I sure had a problem with something else: saddle pain. In order to get a hang of lj I wrote a little bit of silliness about it, Mag7 style and Farad pointed out, rightly so, that linking it here was another step in learning to handle lj. So I decided to just plunge in and do it.

The only way I could find (and I hope it works), is placing the link here to the whole mood piece:

<a href=http://seremela2.livejournal.com/1083.html>Saddle Pain</a>

With a linkname now, thanks to Sara and kuyashinaki! Thank you both!

Displaying it with a nice name when linking to an outer source like your own LJ is actually more html than LJ ^__~ What you need to do:

< a href="put your link here">"Type the text that should be displayed here"< /a>

Of course you need to leave out the blanks after the < and the "", I just put them in to actually show the html tag.

LJ has some useful information about this sort of thing in the FAQ. The relevant portion of the FAQ is here (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqcat=entries).

Welcome to LJ and to the Saloon!!

The story more than makes up for the problems of learning the foreign language of HTML!!! Not to worry - I for one would *much* rather have the stories - and it's all about the little buttons at the top of the text-entry box. Took me forever to figure them out and I'm certainly - as many of you know! - still learning the hard way!!!!

I still can't get links to work right - *sigh*. I bet Vin would feel the same way. 'course, I bet Vin would just shoot the computer . . . .

Um- you are more than welcome to e-mail me and ask me if you find that you have problems you can't figure out. My profile e-mail is okay, but for quicker responses, you can e-mail me at farad@bellsouth.net.

I went out and purchased a gel seat and it has been so great.....I really had saddle sores before I did that....almost as bad as I did when I rode horses and the inside of my thighs were raw, even tho my stirrups were in correct position......
One more suggestion, make certain you seat is placed in correct position because like stirrups, if it is too long there is more pressure placed on the bum......
