And maybe it's because I had to drive 3 hours round trip (for work today yay) and I heard the song about twenty times during that time, but...

Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" song... would be awesome for a Chris/Vin fanvid. Not that I am even capable of creating a fanvid, but if I was then I would probably create one. As it is, I can only imagine.

During this part (while I was driving) I kept hallucinating and getting flashes of episodes where Chris and Vin were exchanging "looks". In the first part of the song it was Vin "saying/thinking/acting" the words - telling Chris he wanted to be his girlfriend - while in the latter part of the song I kept getting flashes of Chris "saying/thinking/acting the words out, telling Vin he wanted to be Vin's girlfriend. All those head bobs of acknowlegment, those quick glances!

I also kept getting flashes of Chris and Mary in the first part. While in the latter part I kept getting flashes of Vin and [coughcoughseasontwostuffcoughcough], especially during this part of the song:

And that's what everyone's talking about!"

And of course this was cool too:

Anyway, I thought I'd share my crazy thought of the day because it might spark some interesting conversation, of course this would work for Vin/Ezra, Chris/Buck, Buck/JD, Buck/Vin, or Chris/Ezra - I still have not been convinced of any pairing involving Josiah, and Nathan works so well with Rain that I can't seem to put him with anyone else, though perhaps Nathan and Ezra would be okay; I was recently convinced Buck/JD would work even if I have only read maybe two good fics with them as a pairing (this song also works for Dean/Sam in "Supernatural" or Mal/Simon in "Firefly", which have nothing to do with M7).

LOL - that's a really interesting visual! And the lyrics definitely work - especially if you can intersplice scenes of Chris and Mary (apologies to all Chris/Mary fans out there!) Needless to say, it works even better with Vin/Charlotte . . . .heh.

:D That was my thought, exactly! All those Evil!Mad! Chris glares directed at Vin in Wagon Train 1 & 2 that sooo fit that song! Gee, why was Chris so upset with Vin during those episodes (as if all of us slashers hadn't already come to that conclusion from the first episode!!)? There are probably scenes with Psycho!Lady and Chris, too, that might fit, but Mary is the first and most obvious choice for Chris.

Actually, yes, I think it SHOULD be Chris and Vin in this particularly case, because of Mary and you know who... the C... woman. Great idea. Oh, wait, Buck has this L... person in Serpents! Yes, so he could be used very well as well, then.

JD could work because of Casey, but I like JD and Casey too much myself, plus to me if feels like cradle robbing, pairing one of them with JD.

Love the idea, I wish I could make vid's... ;-(

I could also say Ezra and anyone, too, but it was Chris and Vin images that kept invading my mind. Ezra does sortofkindof have one or two potential love interests, plus that scene from Working Girls that, when there are no words, could be taken another way.

JD? Well, I can't really see it as cradle robbing since Andrew Kavovit (the actor playing JD) was 27 at the beginning of the M7 series in 1998. LOL Of course, Andrew K. could have pulled off 19 or so, but he was right when he said, "I'm older than I look!"

LOL, I guess you are right about Ezra, but I keep seeing the more 'serious' relationships in here. And Ezra in Chinatown was so sweet, I personally wouldn't want to see that with 'I don't like your girfriend'. Too loving, that.

As for JD, geez, AK was 27???? He sure pulls off the 18 years look. But then the actress who played Casey was 30, so.... Still, no matter that Andrew Kavovit was already that old, JD was supposed to be 17, 18 (since he should have gone to college instead of the OW), so I still see him as too young.

*g* But I get what you mean with seeing Chris and Vin for this.

If there were enough scenes (and I doubt there are, though there could probably be individual cuts to make it look like it's them) Chinatown could be part of a Nathan/Ezra pairing. Then, of course, Nathan and Rain.

Maybe it's the age of the actor, but I always assumed JD was at least 19 or 20, possibly older because they obviously didn't have the money to send him to college and it wasn't really set when people went to college at that time (at what age they went, though they were typically younger). So it's possible he had to wait for his mother to die, might have worked for a bit and then headed out west. Of course, I think I may have come to this conclusion after reading my first good JD/anyone pairing - and the good ones are few.

On the other hand, I may have decided that JD was older when I was playing with the ages of the M7 characters and choose to write a fic in which Ezra is, in fact, younger than JD. Because Ezra's mama looks awful young (the actress was older than I would have ever placed her, ah the wonders of makeup, but they wouldn't have been that good in that day!).
